Record Earnings for 1st Quarter 2008
Corporate America Credit Union experienced record earnings for the first quarter of 2008. Through strategic investments and solid business practices, Corporate America was able to realize its best earnings for a quarter since the organization of the institution. In addition to the increased earnings and thanks, in no small part, to the offering of a Super 30 account type, member credit unions in turn benefited by receiving the record year-to-date returns on their accounts.
Super 30 is a great investment management tool for our member credit unions. It allows a credit union to earn a higher rate of return while maintaining the short term liquidity of a share account. Deposits and withdrawals for the Super 30 account must be made in $10,000 increments. A 30 day notice is required to access the account, however, the Super 30 account allows you to have more than one notice on the account. It is possible to pre-structure withdrawals to minimize the impact of the notice requirement.
Many of our member credit unions are already enjoying the myriad of benefits the Super 30 investment account offers. Some credit unions are parking money into this account until they roll out new loan promotions and programs. Others are utilizing the Super 30 to put their funds until they need liquidity. Regardless of how a member credit union chooses to manage their funds, the Super 30 has proven to be a beneficial tool. It provides convenience and ease of use.
