New Pricing Options Available on Branch Capture Check Collection Services

Effective December 1, 2007, Corporate America Credit Union will begin offering two distinct pricing options for members who use our Branch Capture Check Collection service.  The new options allow each of our member credit unions to choose the fee structure that best fits their needs.  Option 1 provides Credit Unions with funds availability on the second business day with ZERO PER ITEM FEES.  Option 2 provides credit unions with next day availability with a low $0.07 per item rate.  We at Corporate America Credit Union hope that these changes will make doing business with us a more cost-effective experience for all of our member credit unions.

Please take time to review the updated fee schedule and provide us with your thoughts on our pricing and service or call us with any questions you may have at (205) 313-4300 or 1-800-292-6242.

We've Updated Our Fee Schedule!

At Corporate America Credit Union we are looking out for the best interest of our member credit unions.   With this in mind, we recently commissioned an extensive internal comparative analysis of products, services, and fee schedules of other corporate credit unions.  As a result of the findings, our fee schedule has been updated, effective October 1, 2007.  Where possible and in most instances, you’ll see fees reduced.  Only where necessary were fees increased to cover costs to Corporate America.  These changes are a reflection of our continuing effort to provide our member credit unions with more competitive advantages through membership in Corporate America.  We think you will find we are competitively priced and our products and services are of excellent value.

Please provide us with your thoughts on our pricing and service or call us with any questions you may have at (205) 313-4300 or 1-800-292-6242.

CACU's 2007 Annual Meeting Success

We at Corporate America would like to send a warm thanks to all of the participants of our 2007 annual meeting.  The event, held at Ross Bridge Golf Resort and Spa for the 2nd consecutive year, was a success.  This year we changed things around a bit and were able to enjoy beautiful weather during the golf tournament and during the annual meeting.  Our winners were gracious and our speakers entertaining.

We would like to congratulate the winners of the golf tournament.  The top scoring team consisted of Kim Burkett (TVAFCU), Tommy Cobb (Tuscaloosa CU), Zac Howell (CACU), and Lance Smith (CACU).  Mark Johnson (Naheola CU), Christopher Moore (Naheola CU), and John Ogles (Vining Sparks) placed second and coming in at third place was Phillip Blankenship (Coosa Pines FCU), Thomas Bonds (CACU), Jeff Painter (Vining Sparks), and Ron Summerall (Alabama Teachers CU).  Congratulations to all of you.

Following the golf tournament, a very efficient and upbeat annual meeting commenced bright and early on Wednesday morning.  After hearing reports on 2006 from Ron Haas, Thomas Bonds, Larry Morgan and Patti Burke we moved on to door prizes.  Door prizes ranged from Home Depot gift cards to recreational gear to a big screen tv.

After the excitement of door prizes we were treated to a very educational service forum.  Attendees heard about business loan underwriting, and how helping their small business members obtain the financing they need leads to stronger relationships for the credit union.  Robert Wooten and Patrick Quigley of Elan Financial Division (EFD) discussed the evolution of the interchange scene and how credit unions can develop new strategies to take advantage and maximize their interchange income.   Unrelated Business Income Tax (UBIT), was the last hot topic of the forum.  Clay Morgan and Vicki Thomas of the Alabama Credit Union League gave an update on UBIT's implications for credit unions moving into new revenue-generating endeavors.

All of this was rounded out by a product expo with partners like Vining Sparks, CU24, EFD, and Small Business Solutions in attendance.  If you have any questions or would like more information please contact us at (205) 581-0150 or (800) 292-6242 ext. 150.  We hope to see you all next year.
