The Credit Union 24 network was created in 1981 by four Central Florida credit unions as an endeavor to provide a cooperative environment for the implementation of effective EFT strategies. The founding members envisioned a flexible, totally shared, deposit-taking ATM network that would enable them to work together to compete favorably and affordably with other financial institutions and networks.
Credit Union 24 has grown into a strong, member-owned, full-service ATM/POS network that offers ancillary EFT products with 23 processor links established. These products include plastic cards, processing/encoding and EFT supplies. Credit Union 24 Network Participants are located in more than 20 states and have over 100,000 ATM locations throughout the 50 states, Puerto Rico, Canada, Guam, Japan, Portugal and the United Kingdom, many of which take deposits. Network Participant members enjoy the convenience of the point-of-sale access available at Publix, Winn Dixie, Crown Petroleum, Wal-Mart, Eckerd, Walgreens, Sam's Wholesale Club, Food Lion, Home Depot, Texaco, Dillards, Racetrac and most other retail establishments throughout the nation. The majority of Network Participants do not surcharge at their ATMs and many participate in the voluntary no-surcharge Credit Union 24 Network CU HERE Program. |
